We mocked up a few different home page options before deciding on a layout. We knew we wanted the bio pics to be prominent. We also wanted the site to be responsive with a fluid layout and media queries to show a mobile layout. We had to keep this in mind while planning the layout of items. We used the Zurb Foundation responsive framework. The planning allowed us to get quick approval on the mockup. Front end coding went quickly using the Foundation framework. ExpressionEngine CMS integration topped it off.
